Blue Safari — Mangrove Forest

Itinerary

   MorningReef, dolphins & natural pools

   Departure at 08:30–09:00 depending on the tide. From December to February we head straight outside the reef to meet dolphins; the rest of the year we go directly to the Watamu Marine Park to see multicoloured fish and corals. Snorkel or simply watch through the glass bottom. Next stop: the transparent natural pools that form at low tide — perfect for a relaxing soak.

   MiddayMangroves & Waka-Waka Island

   We head into the mangroves, rich in starfish, lobsters and prawns. Monkeys play in the trees and flocks of pink flamingos feed on the shrimp — a great chance for photos. Lunch on Waka-Waka Island, famous for grilled fish, lobster, prawns, octopus, coconut rice and tropical fruit, with drinks included.

3. 3
   AfternoonGiriama culture & return

   After lunch a Giriama family performs traditional dances and songs. Time to relax before leaving around 15:00, back on the beach by 16:00–16:30 and transfer to your village.
